Detox.

All day detox.  Didn’t get a workout in because I was exhausted and lazy.

But I ate light and healthy all day… steel cut oats with blackberries and blueberries for breakfast.  Pb&j with carrots for lunch.  Lastly, a bowl of roasted veggies (ratatouille) with whole wheat bread for dinner.  And lots of water and green tea.  I really do feel better now.

Day 8… Last day of school survival.

YESTERDAY

RUN: 29 minutes on treadmill.  Up one more haha. It was rough though, every part of me was exhausted.

Ate healthy all day, ran, then afterward rewarded myself by sitting on Dan’s couch drinking wine and eating dark chocolate, and of course, playing pictionary.  Antioxidants right?! Plus I’m pretty sure I just read that red wine makes you skinny. And is good for your heart.  And I’m positive it is good for your soul.  World’s best superfood.

If I had to pick things in this world to survive on, it would definitely include red wine, dark chocolate, and chips and salsa.  Healthy.  But the more I think about it, I am happy to say that I would go crazy without every kind of fruits and veggies.  Seriously.  Put any vegetable in the oven with a little bit of olive oil and salt and pepper, and after a little bit of time to get caramelized and toasty, it instantly becomes my favorite food.   Let’s not even mention my innate love of crusty, delicious, warm bread………

RUN: 27 minutes… HA. One whole minute more. Wooowee! On a treadmill though, because outside was blustery and cold.

Ran on the ONLY free treadmill in the gym… stuck between two extremely overweight middle aged people meandering slowly.  Ick.

ABS: Did a little ab work, but the mat area was swarmed with racket ball playing old men.  Beautiful.

Ate healthy all day (except for the cupcake, oops? but it was small, and tirimisu flavored, and delicious.)

So I am going to start putting together the best workout songs, and Hoot and Shannon… give me input! I need lots of them.  Oh and Robby took his ipod back haha so I really want to get an old generation shuffle, but that probs won’t be for awhile.

Breakfast: Nature’s path organic heritage flakes cereal with a sliced banana and almond milk. COFFEE.

Lunch: Smooooothie with banana and yogurt and frozen blue berries and blackberries and cinnamon. Yum.

Worked for sally today lifting boxes and walking up and down stairs for four hours.  Workout? Yes.

Yesterday we shall not talk about.

Today has a good vibe.  Brunch with Robby at The Grove, we both had the yogurt with fruit and granola and 2 wonderful cups of coffee.

Ran 26 minutes at Nature Center, felt really damn good to be doing something.  Short run overall but I want to start back nice and slow so I don’t burn out.

I love the Sandhill Cranes at the beginning of the run, they are gorgeous.

Hmmm I think lunch today will be whole grain toast with hummus and some veggies.

Day 2 (Day 1 redo)

Day 1 slowly melted into fitness failure.  I locked myself out out of the house.  Sat outside for 45 minutes then sat with my dad at Satellite for an hour and a half.  By that point, all hopes of getting a workout in had shriveled up and died.  I had to shower, get dressed, and find a great b-day gift for Dan (booze and gummy bears, classy.)  The wine that seemed appropriate… Plungerhead Zin (with a 98 rating it can’t be terrible, right?)

Back to it… last night came down to a dinner of over consumption.  But well worth it.  And the night ended with Dan, Loren, and I singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the top of our lungs in the most depressing karaoke bar ever. It was ridiculous.

Today, I HAVE to get back AT IT!

Day 1… and so it begins.

So as of late, I have had a lot of trouble falling asleep at a reasonable time every night.  Consequently, getting my butt out of bed to get to the gym or run or whatever, is A LOT harder.  My schedule is perfect to get in a morning workout, so I  need to make this happen more regularly.

Breakfast: Cold veggie pizza (ouch) and lots of coffee.  Not a great way to start.  At least it wasn’t ‘meat lovers’? (gross.)

This is just the beginning.

This is the place for me to mark my progress of getting FIT without anyone’s nosy eyes getting to peek at it but mine.

This is where I plan to record my NUTRITIOUS eating habits, and my RIGOROUS workouts, and my OVERALL fitness.

This is where my goals will be tucked away, so I can be reminded of them.

This is where I stop being a SLACKER and GET SOME.
